It is not easy to find cheap plots in Kayole. Kayole is one
of the most densely developed parts of Nairobi, and the plots are dear. In
fact, even if you have the money, it may be hard to find a genuine plot for
sale in Kayole. That is because all the plots that were allocated in the Kayole
scheme have since been developed and the owners are enjoying earnings from
them. Why would you expect someone to sell a plot that is already bringing in a
good income?
Nonetheless, there are some parts of Kayole that are more
developed than others. The less developed parts of Kayole would be the places
to try your luck, if you are looking for a cheap plot.
One less developed part
of Kayole is probably the Soweto area. A good number of plots in Soweto area of
Kayole are built using iron sheets. So you may find someone who is willing to
sell you a plot at a reasonably low price in such an area.
Another area where,
with some luck, you may find cheap plots for sale in Kayole is the Kayole
North/Spring Valley area. You find that in Kayole North/Spring Vallye area,
most of the plots are built using stone blocks, yes, but they are not
multistoried. So there would be a chance of you finding a cheap plot there.
You
can cross over to Mihang’o, and find cheap plots, though the kind of
development you would have been able to do in mainstream Kayole may be
impossible in places like Mihang’o.
The more developed parts of Kayole, like the area around
Patanisho, Tushauriane, Nyama Villa and Kayole Junction may turn out to be too costly.
But you shouldn’t shy off from asking around, as you may find someone who is
selling a property urgently, and who is willing to accept a lower price.
In
the final analysis, asking whether you can find a truly cheap plot in Kayole is
akin to asking if you can apply for a Kenya ID online. So you find that
the answer is largely in the negative (though, on the other hand, it is definitely possible for you
to apply for a Kenya birth certificate online. Still, if you focus on
the less developed parts of Kayole, it may be possible for you to ultimately
get an affordable, if not cheap, plot.
